York Karate excels as JKS England compete at the JKS Scotland National Championships

Members of York Karate were competing as part of the JKS England squad at the JKS Scotland Nationals today. Congratulations to Sam Peacock and Harry Hardcastle who won medals at the event for England.

Harry (second from left) and Sam (second from right) formed part of the winning England team

Harry won bronze in his individual kumite event and Sam won silver in his event. Both have shown an excellent level of consistency in 2019 by winning medals at nearly every event they have entered. This level of consistency is key to progressing further with the aim of reaching the all styles England squad. The climax of the competition is always the team England vs Scotland match, of which both Harry and Sam were apart of. England were, this year, victorious over Scotland and will hope to repeat this feat at the rematch in November at the JKS England national championships.
