The next York Karate Schools grading course is:

Forest of Galtres

The York Karate School Program works with local pschools, in partnership with the Active York initiative and the City of York Council, to promote Karate and exercise. Karate offers an excellent combination of fitness, co-ordination and discipline which can enhance a child's development. There is a good reason why Martial Arts are on the Japanese school curriculum!

How do I sign my child up to one of the above classes?

We take new starters on a term-by-term basis, depending on available places. In order to try to ensure quality of teaching, class sizes are limited and so a place is not guranteed but you will be added to a waiting list if the class is full. Existing students always get priority if they register before the start of the new term.

Classes cost £53 per term for approximately 10-12 sessions (depending on the length of the school term and the school your child attends.)

PLEASE NOTE: If you are not a returning student, or have not been offered a place in the class, you should first contact us in order to enquire about availability.

JKS England License

All members of York Karate must have a valid JKS England license and this will need to be presented at the grading course in order to participate in the grading. If you need to apply for a license, or renew an existing license, please click the link below:
